Boilers

Reduce your gas bills and save up to £315* a year

Condensing boilers are more efficient than traditional boilers (some reach efficiencies of 95% compared with approximately 75% of traditional boilers) as they can capture the waste heat from the flue gases. This extra energy is used to pre-heat the water enabling the boiler to require less gas to achieve the desired water temperature. This therefore keeps fuel bills lower and emissions down.

How efficient is your boiler?

You can find the efficiency of your current boiler by following the link and entering the make and model:

How much could you save each year?*

This will depend on how old and inefficient your existing boiler is and the fuel your boiler uses. Below are some examples of potential savings for a home heated by gas central heating.

The costs for replacing a boiler will vary, but a straightforward gas boiler replacement plus thermostatic radiator valves will typically cost about £2,300 excluding radiators.

Depending on your circumstances, there is occasionally assistance from your local authority or through other national schemes - please check with Action Surrey for information on Grants.

Switch your energy supplier and save!

You could also save on your bills by switching your energy supplier. The average household that hasn't changed energy tariff for two years or more saves over £200 per year on their bills by switching, and the reality is that it is really easy to do.

Learn more on our "Switch and Save" page.

You could also have a Smart Meter installed to make sure you're aware of your daily energy consumption. Find out more on our "Smart Meter" page.
