The Refer a Friend or Neighbour incentive is a 3-month long scheme running under the Home Upgrade Grant (HUG2), exclusively for any person who has applied to HUG2. If you successfully refer a friend, family member or neighbour under HUG2, and they go on to receive funded upgrades for their property before 31st October, then you will be awarded a £50 voucher for one of the following stores:

  • B&Q 
  • Homebase  
  • Wickes 
  • IKEA

You are not limited to one voucher – the more successful referrals you make under HUG2, the more £50 vouchers you will win.

When you have sent a friend, family member or neighbour the HUG2 application form, there will be a section called ‘referred by’ where the applicant can put your name and email address, so we can track your referral.

The eligibility criteria for HUG2 is: 

  • Live within Surrey
  • Home not connected to mains gas for heating. 
  • EPC of a D or below
  • In receipt of means tested benefit OR have under £36,000 gross annual household income  

If your friend, family member or neighbour does not fall within the income criteria (i.e. income is over £36,000), please still refer them, as we have an alternative route of verification that they might be able to be verified under. 

Please note that there are implicated guidelines under HUG2 that make it extremely unlikely for any new Park Home residents or Social Housing tenants to progress through the grant. Therefore, we would like to make it very clear that although we can accept applications from these residents, it is very unlikely that a £50 voucher will be awarded to the individual who has made the referral.

This can either be sent as a link for your friend, family member or neighbour to submit online, or a paper version can be sent upon request to their home address.

  • External Wall Insulation 
  • Underfloor Insulation 
  • New UPVC Doors and Windows 
  • Solar Thermal 
  • Solar PV Panels 
  • Electric Storage Heaters 
  • Air Source Heat Pump

These measures are subject to eligibility and viability. Unfortunately the only measure available for Park Homes is External Wall Insulation.
