Condensing boilers are more efficient than traditional boilers (some reach efficiencies of 95% compared with approximately 75% of traditional boilers) as they are able to capture the waste heat from the flue gases. This extra energy is used to pre-heat the water enabling the boiler to require less gas to achieve the desired water temperature. This therefore keeps fuel bills lower and emissions down.
