Instead of just re-painting my house I installed external wall insulation
Miss Andrews of Guildford, lives in a 4-bed semi detached house which was built between 1900-1929 and therefore could not be insulated with cavity wall insulation.
The property requried to be re-painted, so Miss Andrews decided it was an excellent oppotunity to install solid wall insulation to improve the energy efficiency and warmth of her as well as improving the look of her home.
By contacting Action Surrey, Miss Andrews was provided with help and support throughout the process which included advice on her requirement for planning permission as she lives in a conservation area.
In addition, Miss Andrews was also awarded a grant of over £2,000 towards the cost of the installation.
