Transformed from a 'grotty end of terrace'
Mr Dunster, a private landlord in Guildford, has transformed his tenants' home. The 3 bed end of terrace, in Stoughton, Guildford was built between 1900-1929 and therefore is not suitable for standard cavity wall insulation. Therefore, to combat the penetrating damp issue and to reduce his tenants' fuel bills Mr Dunster opted to install external wall insualtion.
Through the help and support of Action Surrey's energy advisors Mr Dunster was also able to claim up to £4,000 through the Green Deal Cashback scheme.
Mr Dunster is delighted with the result and commented the property has changed from a "grotty end of terrace, to almost resembling a new build".
