What are retrofit measures?

A retrofit measure is when a property is fitted with an energy efficiency measure, such as insulation or renewables that are fitted to a property once it has been built.

This is done to improve the efficiency of the property and to reduce the amount of energy it will use by reducing the heat loss from the building or its dependence on fossil fuels.
