Action Surrey is very pleased to be collaborating with Bricks and Bread to offer a greater depth of experience and knowledge on sustainable construction and low carbon living to local communities across Surrey.
Bricks and Bread, set up by Trudy Thompson in 2009, is a social enterprise that acts as a hub for sustainable construction and low impact living. Over the last two years the business has grown and there are now over 3,000 enterprises which work alongside the centre. The centre is based in Aldershot, and regularly hosts practical training courses, conferences and activities for a diverse audience including school children and industry experts. Trudy developed Bricks and Bread having spent nearly a decade as an eco builder in the local area. During this time she delivered 33 eco building projects of which 11 were new builds and 22 were retrofits of existing properties.
