Many local residents of Surrey were welcomed to Oak Tree House on Saturday 23rd July and Wednesday 27th July to attend low carbon events which were held at the property in association with Bricks and Bread.
The first event was a `Free Energy Advice Clinic' where Trudy Thompson from Bricks and Bread gave one to one 30 minute sessions in which she answered visitors energy enquires. The day was a great success with a huge variety of enquires ranging from retrofitting solar electric panels, insulating solid brick properties to whole house renovations.
Having spent nearly a decade as an eco builder in the local area, Trudy also held two sessions at the demonstration property sharing her experiences of project managing 33 eco building (11 new builds and 22 retrofits of existing properties). Again the sessions where greatly successful and Trudy's experiences and stories were truly inspiring.
Action Surrey will be welcoming Trudy back to Oak Tree House on August 10th for an `Eco-entrepreneurs Event' where she will share more of her expert knowledge including how to run a sustainable business to marketing a new `eco-product'.
