Action Surrey is currently working with Radbot, a smart radiator thermostat, which has the potential to reduce heating bills by 30%.

The Radbot is installed in place of your existing thermostatic radiator valves and is designed to reduce the amount of energy wasted heating empty rooms. The Radbot learns the occupancy of individual rooms and then heats each room only when occupied & reduces the temperature slightly when empty, thereby reducing your overall heating bill. You do not need to change how you use your heating system currently, the Radbot will do all the work for you. There is also a boost button to add extra heat to your room, if at any time you feel you need a little extra warmth.

To find out more about Radbot visit:

Action Surrey together with Radbot is looking for volunteers to test the effectiveness of the Radbot in homes. To be eligible to trial the Radbot in your home, we are looking for residents who are either in receipt of a Department of Work and Pensions eligible benefit or vulnerable to the cold and on a low-medium income. Volunteer households must have a gas boiler with radiators; no secondary heating sources such as wood burners; and a Wi-Fi connection.

The trial would run for six months, involves two home visits one for the installation and one for the removal of the trial equipment and one feedback phone call midway through. At the end of the trial, if you like the Radbot, you can keep it, free of charge.

If you are interested in saving money on your heating bills and receiving £150 in shopping vouchers for taking part, please call our Action Surrey team on 0800 783 2503.

With spaces on the trial limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, don’t miss out on the opportunity by calling Action Surrey today.
